The Seven Nation Army is not a clan and we do not operate a clan server. Our server is set to offer a variation of Day of Defeat 1.3 (not Source) in which all maps offer an Axis v British scenario. A scenario first offered by the Self Preservation Society, a server on which many of the founding regular players, first met and played

As far as we know, no other server offers this Axis v British scenario, which together with the friendly and adult attitude to game play we endeavour to encourage, seems to make our server popular.

By adult attitude, we do not mean that any thing goes. While bad language, racist remarks and unsporting behaviour are not tolerated, we do have a more relaxed attitude to behaviour after 9.00pm UK time. Note that our admins, may ban without warning, anyone whose behaviour they consider impacts upon others enjoyment of the server.

Why do we call our selves/server the Seven Nation Army? Because the group of twelve players who were the founding members of the server come from seven different countries :- Belgium; France; Germany; Ireland; Romania; USA & UK.

While we are not a clan, many of our regulars preface their name with a 7NA | tag. We are quite happy for players to do this, provided that they;

1. Have played regularly on the server over a period of time.
2. Have become a member of the forum, introduced themselves and participated in the forum.
3. Asked an admin \ asked through the forum for permission to use the tag, in addition to requirements 1 & 2 above being met.

Playing dod_strom this evening and something seemed out of place.
Have a look at these... See anything strange?
Anyone else get this or seen it before?
I've never had this before??? And only the street was effected.

Picture taken of Tromsø for a few days ago. The northern lights danced across much of northern and eastern Norway that evening. This phenomenon has previously mainly been most visible up in the northern parts of the country. In recent years, this occurs also more common in the southern area.

Hey, as the title says, i'm a new guy on the forum but I have been on the server a wee bit, I was on it first about 3 months back when I first got DoD but the game had been uninstalled for the past month and a half (ish), but I am back with a vengence.
Even though I suck 

Had this a few months ago - now it's back:

Normally I have a ping between 30 and 50. At the moment it jumps between 150 and 300 in the evening. After 11 pm it seems to get better - but then it is too late to play ... . All other servers I usually played in the past do not show this - ping is still low.

Server does very often not show in the list (favourites + internet) - have to join via a person already playing.

Does anyone else have observed something similar?

can any of you very clever people solve a problem on the lap top i bourght toshiba p755.

my fps starts around 100fps and drops down to 5fps when i fire the gun and really lags out. it is slow and unresponsive like my dog.
 its quite a good spec lptop and should not struggle playing dod the specs are at the bottom of the post.

i play in 1280 x 720 resolution. since setting the resolution in the options all over choices of reolution have disappeared so i cannot lower my resolution if i want to, even after a reinstall it now automatically sets to this resolutuin.

this is what ive tried

a fresh install of steam and dod with no backing up.
updated the graphics driver
updated windows 7

specs are as follows

•Intel Core i5 dual core T2410M processor.
•2.3GHz processor speed.
•8GB DDR3 RAM memory.
•640GB SATA hard drive.

Display features:
•15.6 inch widescreen display.
•High definition display.
•Resolution 1366 x 768 pixels.


Graphics:
•Dedicated graphics.
•NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics card with 1GB memory.

• Stormblast: We could very clearly see the northern lights in the sky here tonight. It kept on for several hours shortly after it was dark outside this afternoon. Three years since the last time, and just as beautiful.
