Welcome to the web home and forum of the Seven Nation Army.
The Seven Nation Army is not a clan and we do not operate a clan server. Our server is set to offer a variation of Day of Defeat 1.3 (not Source) in which all maps offer an Axis v British scenario. A scenario first offered by the Self Preservation Society, a server on which many of the founding regular players, first met and played
As far as we know, no other server offers this Axis v British scenario, which together with the friendly and adult attitude to game play we endeavour to encourage, seems to make our server popular.
By adult attitude, we do not mean that any thing goes. While bad language, racist remarks and unsporting behaviour are not tolerated, we do have a more relaxed attitude to behaviour after 9.00pm UK time. Note that our admins, may ban without warning, anyone whose behaviour they consider impacts upon others enjoyment of the server.
Why do we call our selves/server the Seven Nation Army? Because the group of twelve players who were the founding members of the server come from seven different countries :- Belgium; France; Germany; Ireland; Romania; USA & UK.
While we are not a clan, many of our regulars preface their name with a 7NA | tag. We are quite happy for players to do this, provided that they;

The server will be offline for about 30 minutes on Friday 26 Aug 2016 because the hosting company will change to a bigger better piece of Silicon. The IP address will probably change too.

All my thoughts to France, possibly one of the few countries with balls! As the way they again highly publicly show their contempt and distance against terrorist acts. Two major huge public actions against the country within a year. Once again they were hit, and once again they show their contempt, strenght and distance. Vive la France!

French Server and generally good game play but they won't see me around for a while. They whine like old women. I'm playing there on a new map and I get killed time after time. So I get to a spot and when I get there one of them guys starts talking to me like I'm camping there for the whole f***ing day. I didn't really react to it, just left, but as I said, it'll be a while before they see me again.
There is no space like 7NA home!

Can we try to have a game night once a week?
let's say every wednesday at 21h00? Oh no, better still, let's do a poll. How do I do a poll? Don't remember
Just reply and say when would be convenient. This way we get to have a laugh and a tear and get rid of the stress of work, life in general!

Due to a massive work load I haven't played much lately.
When I have been playing, it's been mainly Battlefield 3 and now Battlefield 4.
Dice have released a new game called Battlefield 1 which has a WW1 theme.
At first I thought it may have a source feel and you know how much source is loved around here but in actual fact I think it has a bit of an original DOD feel.
I've only watched the game play on youtube - It's a little expensive at the moment so waiting for a special to pop up.
I wouldn't mind getting a server for Battlefield 1.
Check it out:
But wait, there's more. In Battlefield 1 you can also drive vehicles, shoot cannons, fly planes and much more.

Given that we are we are Europe's Finest, we are the best placed to help Europe's leaders.
National items will always stay national items, Germans cannot decide what is best for the French 'escargots' (edible snails) of course, but we can help Europe becoming a better, more efficient organisation.
Well, I cannot speak for any other country than Belgium but we are the best at compromises. The Northern half says one thing, the Southern half of the country most likely the other thing. A bit like the US where you have only 2 parties, except that we do have more than one political party. (5 or so in the North and 5 more in the South). So howcome we make this litlle country work? Well, when we make deals we give a little bit to those who would vote against otherwise. We never get a 100% out of a deal, but we do get enough out of it to be happy.
So my dear fellow Europeans; in one word: compromise.
I look forward to your replies, gentlemen and gentlewomen!
